Northern Melbourne · City of Whittlesea

Web design Epping

Epping is one of the main centres of the City of Whittlesea in Melbourne's north, with 33,489 residents at the 2021 census and newer estates still filling in to the north and west. Everyday business life runs along High Street and around Pacific Epping, the regional shopping centre beside the Northern Hospital, while the Cooper Street employment precinct to the south-west is one of the largest industrial areas in Melbourne: it holds the Melbourne Wholesale Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Market and is planned by the council to support more than 25,000 jobs when complete. That gives Epping an unusual mix of shopfront, health, trade and business-to-business customers, and the website each one needs is different.

Epping businesses

Businesses we build for in Epping

What the local business mix means for your website.

Shopfront and health businesses around Pacific Epping, High Street and the Northern Hospital, such as cafés, pharmacies, allied health clinics, childcare and hairdressers, are found by people who already live nearby and want hours, a starting price, parking and a way to book on a phone. Trades, cleaners, landscapers and removalists based in Epping work across the whole Whittlesea growth corridor, from Lalor and Thomastown to Wollert, Mernda and Doreen, and compete with Melbourne-wide operators for the same “near me” searches.

The Cooper Street precinct adds a third group: food wholesalers, transport and logistics operators, manufacturers and trade suppliers whose customers are other businesses. Their websites rarely need a gallery or a booking button. They need to say plainly what the business handles, where it is, its hours and dock access, and who to contact, so a buyer or supplier can check before ringing.

The page plan

What Epping websites need to get right

We build these into the page plan when they apply to your business.

  • A service-area section that names the Whittlesea suburbs you genuinely cover: Epping, Lalor, Thomastown, South Morang, Mill Park, Wollert, Mernda and Doreen
  • Opening hours, parking and a map link for shopfront businesses, visible without scrolling on a phone
  • For Cooper Street businesses, the practical details a buyer checks first: products or services handled, trading hours, dock and access notes and a direct contact
  • Registrations and checks shown plainly for childcare, tutoring and health services, and licence details for licensed trades

Working together

Getting around Epping, and how we work with you

Where it is

About 18 km north of the CBD, in City of Whittlesea, part of Northern Melbourne.

How customers reach you

Epping station is on the Mernda line, and the suburb sits on the Hume Freeway with Cooper Street and High Street as its main east–west and north–south roads, so customers reach Epping businesses from across the north and from the Hume corridor. Trades and services that also cover Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park or the Mernda and Doreen estates should say so in their service-area section rather than leaving it to a line at the bottom of the page.

How we work together

Briefing, feedback, approvals and handover happen online by video call, phone, email and shared documents. A call can be arranged whenever it helps.

Should my website say Epping or Whittlesea?

Use the suburb names customers actually search, such as “electrician Epping” or “physio South Morang”, and keep Whittlesea for the council. A single service-area section that lists the suburbs you genuinely cover is more useful than repeating the council name, and it matches what you set on a Google Business Profile.

I run a wholesale or logistics business in the Cooper Street precinct. Do I need more than a basic site?

Usually not. A clear five-page site that states what you handle, your trading hours, where to find you, dock or access details and who to contact answers the questions a buyer or supplier has before they ring. That does more for a business-to-business operator than a large brochure site nobody updates.

My clinic is near the Northern Hospital. How should the website show that?

Give the practical details first: the address with the nearest cross street, parking, public transport from Epping station, opening hours and how to book. For regulated health practitioners, keep AHPRA's advertising rules in mind: factual information about services and practitioners is fine, but testimonials about clinical care are restricted.

How much does a website cost for a Epping business?

The same as anywhere in Melbourne: A$169, A$299 or A$449, paid once, for up to 3, 5 or 8 pages. Domain, hosting and paid third-party tools are separate. Brand Launch, with a logo, website and first-year domain and hosting, starts at A$599.

Do you have an office in Epping?

No. SIX9 Design is one Melbourne studio. Projects for Epping businesses run online, by video call, phone, email and shared documents, so nobody has to take time off site to travel.
