Northern Melbourne · Hume City Council

Web design Craigieburn

Craigieburn is the largest suburb in the City of Hume and one of the biggest in Melbourne's north, with 65,178 residents at the 2021 census and new estates still being built on its western and northern edges. Day-to-day business life centres on Craigieburn Central, the town centre that opened in 2013 beside Stockland's Highlands estate, the older Craigieburn Plaza on Craigieburn Road, and the Highlands Shopping Centre. North of the suburb, the Craigieburn North Employment Area is being developed as an industrial and logistics precinct, and the Hume Global Learning Centre, Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre and Craigieburn Golf Club serve families from across the corridor.

Craigieburn businesses

Businesses we build for in Craigieburn

What the local business mix means for your website.

Craigieburn's small businesses split into two groups with different website jobs. Shopfront businesses in and around Craigieburn Central and the Plaza, such as cafés, hairdressers, pharmacies, clinics and childcare centres, are found by people who already live nearby and want hours, prices, booking and parking on a phone. Trades, cleaners, landscapers and removalists work across the whole growth corridor, from Roxburgh Park and Greenvale to Mickleham, Kalkallo and Donnybrook, and compete with Melbourne-wide operators for the same “near me” searches.

Because so many households are new to the area, a lot of first contact happens online rather than by word of mouth. The websites that win in Craigieburn say exactly which suburbs they cover, show real local work, and make the next step obvious: a tap-to-call button for trades, an enquiry form for clinics and childcare, and clear opening hours for everyone with a shopfront.

The page plan

What Craigieburn websites need to get right

We build these into the page plan when they apply to your business.

  • A service-area section that names the Hume suburbs you genuinely cover: Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Greenvale, Mickleham, Kalkallo and Donnybrook
  • Opening hours, parking and a map link for shopfront businesses, visible without scrolling on a phone
  • Registrations and checks shown plainly for childcare, tutoring and health services, including Working with Children Checks where they apply
  • Photos of real local jobs and, for licensed trades, your licence details

Working together

Getting around Craigieburn, and how we work with you

Where it is

About 25 km north of the CBD, in Hume City Council, part of Northern Melbourne.

How customers reach you

Craigieburn station is the end of the Craigieburn line, and the suburb sits on the Hume Freeway and the Craigieburn Bypass, so customers come from Melbourne's north and from the Macedon Ranges and Wallan direction as well. If you serve those outer areas, say so in your service-area section rather than leaving it to a long paragraph at the bottom of the page.

How we work together

Briefing, feedback, approvals and handover happen online by video call, phone, email and shared documents. A call can be arranged whenever it helps.

Should my website target Craigieburn or the whole of Hume?

Name the suburbs rather than the council. Customers search for “plumber Craigieburn” or “childcare Roxburgh Park”, not “Hume”. One service-area section that lists the suburbs you genuinely cover does more than repeating the council name, and it matches what you set on a Google Business Profile.

Most of my customers are in the new estates north of Craigieburn. How do I show that?

List Mickleham, Kalkallo, Donnybrook and Wollert in your service area, show a few jobs or clients from those estates with the suburb named, and keep the quote or booking form short, because many of these customers are comparing three or four businesses on a phone in the evening.

I run a warehouse or logistics business in the Craigieburn North Employment Area. Is a small website worth it?

Yes, if it answers the questions a buyer or supplier has before they ring: what you handle, where you are, your hours, dock and access details, and who to contact. A clear five-page site with those answers does more for a B2B business than a large brochure site nobody updates.

How much does a website cost for a Craigieburn business?

The same as anywhere in Melbourne: A$169, A$299 or A$449, paid once, for up to 3, 5 or 8 pages. Domain, hosting and paid third-party tools are separate. Brand Launch, with a logo, website and first-year domain and hosting, starts at A$599.

Do you have an office in Craigieburn?

No. SIX9 Design is one Melbourne studio. Projects for Craigieburn businesses run online, by video call, phone, email and shared documents, so nobody has to take time off site to travel.
