Logo & brand design · Melbourne studio

Logo design in Melbourne, launched with your brand and website.

We design your logo as part of a complete brand launch. From A$599 you get the logo suite, colours, type and guidelines, plus the website and launch assets that put your new brand to work.

There is no logo-only package. If that is all you need, the options below explain where to look.

Before you hire anyone

What a complete logo handover should include

Whoever designs your logo, ask for these. A single PNG file is not a brand — it breaks the first time you need a favicon, a dark background or a printed sign.

  • A primary logo, plus a simplified version or icon for small spaces
  • Versions for light and dark backgrounds, and a one-colour version
  • Vector files for print and signage, and web-ready files for your site
  • Exact colour codes for screen, and print codes where you need them
  • The typefaces used, with licence details for each one
  • Clear-space and minimum-size rules, and examples of misuse
  • A favicon and social profile images cut to the right sizes
  • A short guide your team, printer or next designer can follow
With a Brand Launch, your written scope lists the exact files and formats you receive before work starts, so there is nothing to chase at handover.

Process

How we design your logo and launch it

One studio carries the brand from the first question to the live website, so the logo is designed for the places it will actually appear.

  1. Brief and positioning
Your customers, competitors, personality and where the logo must work. Growth and Complete add a positioning workshop.
  2. Logo and identity direction
The mark, colours and type are designed together, then tested at small sizes and on dark and light backgrounds.
  3. Refine in consolidated rounds
You collect feedback into one list per round — one, two or three rounds depending on your tier.
  4. Apply it everywhere
Website, social profiles, 10 post designs, business card, email signature and favicon, all in the new identity.
  5. Launch and hand over
Domain and hosting for year one, the site goes live, and you receive the files and guidelines.

Honest comparison

Is a brand launch the right way to get your logo?

Other options are genuinely better for some businesses. Here is how to choose.

Choose another option if…

  • You only need a logo file and already have a website you are happy with.
  • You want dozens of concepts from many designers — contests such as 99designs start at A$449 excluding tax and include a money-back guarantee.
  • You are testing an idea and a free template logo is enough for now (templates are not exclusive to you).
  • You need in-depth brand strategy, research or naming — larger studios and agencies specialise in this.

Choose a SIX9 Brand Launch if…

  • You are starting or relaunching a business and need the logo, website and social presence ready together.
  • You want one fixed price — A$599 to A$1,299 — instead of separate logo, website and hosting bills.
  • You want one Melbourne studio responsible for the whole launch.
  • You are comfortable with a focused number of revision rounds rather than unlimited changes.

Protect your brand

Before you register a trade mark

General information, not legal advice. For advice about your situation, speak to a registered trade mark attorney.

  1. Search first
Check the Australian Trade Mark Search for similar names and marks in your industry before you commit to a logo.
  2. Know the fees
IP Australia charges A$250 per class when you use its picklist of goods and services, or A$400 per class with your own wording (IP Australia fees, checked 25 September 2026).
  3. Avoid template logos if you plan to register
Canva’s own help centre explains that logos made from its templates or stock elements are not exclusive to you. An original mark avoids that problem (Canva Help).
  4. Register your business name separately
A business name registration with ASIC does not give you trade mark rights, and a trade mark does not register your business name.

What does a logo and website package include in Melbourne?

SIX9’s Brand Launch is one package rather than two quotes: 3, 5 or 8 website pages, the logo suite, brand guidelines, standard domain and hosting for the first year, and 10 social designs, at A$599, A$949 or A$1,299 once. Buying the logo and the site together means one brief and one set of revisions, and the website is built straight from the finished brand. Renewals after year one and paid third-party software are not included.

Can I get just a logo?

Not at the moment. We design logos as part of a Brand Launch, starting at A$599, because a logo does its job once it is applied to your website, social profiles and stationery. If you only need a logo file, a freelancer or a studio with a logo-only product may suit you better.

How much does logo design cost in Melbourne?

Published Australian figures range widely. TDS Australia’s 2026 guide puts freelancer logos at A$500–A$3,000 and small-studio logos at A$2,500–A$10,000, and 99designs logo contests start at A$449 excluding tax (checked 25 September 2026). SIX9’s Brand Launch costs A$599, A$949 or A$1,299 and includes the logo suite, brand guidelines and a website.

Is the domain and hosting really included?

Yes. Every Brand Launch includes standard domain registration and hosting for the first year. Renewals after year one, premium domain names and paid third-party software are not included.

How many logo concepts do I get?

Your written scope confirms how the design directions are presented before work starts. Revisions happen in consolidated rounds: one on Essential, two on Growth and three on Complete. If you want dozens of concepts to choose from, a design contest gives you more options.

Do I own the logo?

Ownership of the final artwork, and any font licences it depends on, are set out in your written scope before work starts. The final files are handed over when the project is paid in full.

Can you register my logo as a trade mark?

We design original marks, but we are not trade mark attorneys. You can search and apply through IP Australia yourself, or use a registered trade mark attorney. IP Australia’s application fee is A$250 per class when you describe your goods and services with its picklist.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. We are based in Melbourne and run brand projects online, from the brief to the final handover, so you do not need to travel to a studio.
