AI automation · Melbourne studio

AI automation agency for Melbourne small businesses.

We connect the tools you already use so enquiries, follow-ups and admin move on their own — with a person checking every decision that needs judgement. It starts with a free review of one workflow.

No payment is taken with your request. You get a written outline and quote first.

Illustrations of how a first project is scoped — not client case studies. Each one starts small, keeps a person in charge of decisions and can grow later.

Scope

What an automation project includes

Every project follows the same structure, so you know what you are paying for before the build starts.

Included in the quote

  • Business process discovery
  • Automation and integration plan
  • AI-assisted document and enquiry processing
  • Human review and exception handling
  • Testing, team handover and agreed launch support

Paid separately

  • AI API usage, subscriptions and hosting
  • Work outside the approved scope
  • Changes to the workflow after handover, quoted before any work starts

How it works

From a free review to a working workflow

We start with one workflow that costs your team time every week. Once it runs reliably, it is easier to decide what to automate next.

  1. Tell us about one workflow
Use the automation request form to describe what arrives, where it goes and what your team does with it.
  2. Free review and written quote
We map the triggers, data, tools and decisions, and reply with an outline of the build, a quote and estimated running costs.
  3. Build and test with real examples
We test with real enquiries or documents (with personal details removed where possible) and handle the exceptions, not just the happy path.
  4. Hand over and support the launch
Your team learns how it works, where to check it and how to pause it. Launch support is agreed in the scope.

Running costs

What AI usage costs

AI providers charge per token — roughly per chunk of words — so usage cost scales with how many items you process and how long they are. For most small-business volumes it is modest next to the time saved, but it is a real monthly bill, so we estimate it with you from your real volumes before you commit.

Software subscriptions for the automation platform, CRM or other tools are separate again, and are paid directly to each provider. Our AI automation cost guide explains every cost line, with published Australian price ranges.

Privacy

Privacy and data for Australian businesses

General information, not legal advice. Check your obligations with the OAIC or a privacy adviser.

  1. Know what leaves your systems
The project plan lists exactly which fields are sent to an AI provider and why. Anything the workflow does not need is left out.
  2. Health information is covered regardless of size
The Privacy Act generally does not apply to businesses with an annual turnover of A$3 million or less, but there are exceptions, including businesses that provide a health service and hold health information (OAIC).
  3. Automated decisions must be explained from 10 December 2026
Businesses covered by the Privacy Act will need their privacy policy to describe automated decisions that could significantly affect people’s rights or interests (APP 1).
  4. Keep a person on significant decisions
Eligibility, pricing, complaints and anything a customer would expect a human to decide stay with your team.

Honest fit

When automation is not worth it yet

We would rather tell you now than build something you stop using.

  • The task happens a few times a month — a checklist is cheaper.
  • The process changes every week, so there is nothing stable to automate.
  • Your information lives in several places with no single source of truth.
  • Every case needs a judgement call, so the automation would only move data around.
  • A built-in feature of a tool you already pay for, such as an auto-reply or a form rule, already does the job.

How much does AI automation cost for a small business in Melbourne?

SIX9 quotes each project after a free review of your workflow, because the price depends on how many tools connect and how many decisions are involved. For context, Australian providers publish build ranges from about A$3,000 for one or two workflows to A$15,000 and more for several connected systems. Running costs such as AI usage and software subscriptions are paid directly by you.

What does the free review include?

You describe one repetitive workflow. We map how it runs today — where work arrives, which tools it touches and which steps need a person — and reply with a written outline of what we would build, a quote for the build and an estimate of the running costs. There is no obligation to go ahead.

Will AI reply to my customers without anyone checking?

Only where you decide it should. By default we build AI steps to prepare summaries, categories and draft replies, and a person approves anything that commits your business or affects a customer.

Which tools can you connect?

Most small-business automations connect a website form or inbox to the tools you already use: email, spreadsheets, a CRM, a job or booking system, or team chat. Each connection depends on the tool offering an integration or API, so we confirm every one in writing before quoting.

Do you build chatbots?

Our automation work focuses on what happens after an enquiry arrives: capturing it, summarising it, routing it and following it up. If you are after a website chatbot, describe it in your brief and we will tell you honestly whether it is a good fit for us.

Who owns the accounts and the workflow?

We recommend keeping the automation platform and AI provider accounts in your business’s name, so you control billing and access. What is handed over at the end of the project is written into the scope.

Do we need to be in Melbourne?

No. We are based in Melbourne and work online with businesses across Australia. Reviews, testing and handover sessions happen by video call and shared documents.
