Web design Tarneit

Tarneit has grown from farmland into one of the most populous suburbs in Victoria in little more than two decades, and new estates, schools and town centres are still being built. Tarneit station, on the V/Line Geelong line opened with the Regional Rail Link in 2015, connects it to Southern Cross in under half an hour.

Tarneit businesses

Businesses we build for in Tarneit

What the local business mix means for your website.

Tarneit has one of the largest Indian-born communities in Victoria, alongside many other cultures, and its business mix reflects that: grocers, restaurants and sweets shops, tutoring and coaching, driving schools, childcare, NDIS and allied health providers, migration and accounting services, and a large number of trades and home-improvement businesses serving brand-new houses.

New-home owners are a specific audience. In their first year in a house they search for landscaping, fencing, driveways, blinds, solar and handyman work, usually on a phone and often at night. A trade website that groups services the way they search, with photos from nearby estates and a fast quote form, beats a generic list of everything you can do.

The page plan

What Tarneit websites need to get right

We build these into the page plan when they apply to your business.

  • Services grouped the way new-home owners search: landscaping, fencing, driveways, blinds, solar
  • An optional key page in a community language, scoped separately with a translation you supply or have checked
  • Tap-to-call or WhatsApp links where that is how your customers prefer to get in touch
  • Reviews and job photos from local estates, with the customer's permission

Working together

Getting around Tarneit, and how we work with you

Where it is

About 27 km west of the CBD, in Wyndham City Council, part of Western Melbourne.

How customers reach you

Tarneit is car-first: most customers drive, and many local services are mobile. The station makes it easy for city-based clients to reach you, but for most Tarneit businesses the website's job is to win the call, not to give directions.

How we work together

Briefing, feedback, approvals and handover happen online by video call, phone, email and shared documents. A call can be arranged whenever it helps.

Can my website have a page in Hindi, Punjabi or Gujarati?

Yes, as a separately scoped addition. The translation should be supplied by you or professionally checked; we don't publish machine translation by default. Usually one key page (services and how to contact you) is enough.

Most of my work comes from word of mouth and WhatsApp groups. Do I still need a website?

People who hear about you still check you online before calling. A three-page site with your services, real photos and a tap-to-call button confirms the recommendation, and the A$169 Launch package is built for exactly that.

Do you build websites for tutoring centres and driving schools?

Yes. They start from the service business package, with fees, timetables or lesson packages, locations and credentials such as Working with Children Checks where they apply.

How much does a website cost for a Tarneit business?

The same as anywhere in Melbourne: A$169, A$299 or A$449, paid once, for up to 3, 5 or 8 pages. Domain, hosting and paid third-party tools are separate. Brand Launch, with a logo, website and first-year domain and hosting, starts at A$599.

Do you have an office in Tarneit?

No. SIX9 Design is one Melbourne studio. Projects for Tarneit businesses run online, by video call, phone, email and shared documents, so nobody has to take time off site to travel.
